The Collaboration Lowdown
Caroline's Brushes Explained
The 01 Brush: "It's a larger flat style brush that's perfect to apply foundation to your skin in the least wasteful way. This must-have brush allows you to apply the product exactly where you need it with little waste. It’s also great at sculpting out cheekbones. Using the flat tip of the brush, locate the base of your cheek bone and then blend up."
The 02 Brush: "This softly smooths and buffs the foundation into the skin leaving it undetectable. A great brush to depend on when applying makeup in low light. Brushing this over your complexion ensures a professional finish."
The 03 Brush: "It's flat angled shape delivers a cream formula to the skin in a very subtle way. It’s stops pigment overloading the skin helping you create more of an airbrush finish to your skin. So comforting to use and feels so soft."
The 04 Brush: "This is the largest brush in the OBXCB collection. It’s super soft and delivers powder pigment to the skin with a subtle delicacy. Ideal to use for bronzing or mattifying the skin."
The 05 Brush: "Is the ultimate colour powder detail brush. Amazing at placing powder contour and to create a soft flush of blush. The brush allows you to apply colour to your skin in a delicate diffused way."
The 06 Brush: "It's my favourite blusher and powder brush as it's not too big unlike most on the market. Makeup is about balancing light and shade and adding colour to parts of our face to lift and freshen our complexions. With big brushes the colour pigments can smudge together and the face shaping is lost."
The 07 Brush: "This brush is the ultimate multi-blender. This brush delicately danced over a finished eye look gives a perfected filtered finish and professional finish."
The 09 Brush: "This is your socket definer. This is such a beautifully shaped brush that allows you to get a deep tone of colour in your socket by just using the brush in a windscreen wiper action. The tip is bevelled so delicately it does the work for you giving you instant shape to your eye with minimal effort."
The 10 Brush: "Not all of us want to create a graphic eye line, sometimes we want something soft and diffused. Twirl the tip of the brush into a soft pigment powder place at the corner of your eye and extend. It’s that easy as with the other brushes they take all the effort, this is one of my favs as it makes eye makeup fun and simple to do."
The 11 Brush: "This is the perfect blending brush. It’s firm but again the graduated bristles help to migrate the eye shadow around your eyes with ease. Use it to just apply a single colour over the entire lid or to soften and perfect as structured eye look."
The 12 Brush: "This smaller flat angled brush doubles up as a lip brush and eye liner brush. This is my favourite way to apply lipstick. I much prefer a sharp angled brush to create a straight line along the lip line and a perfect cupids bow. The bristles are tightly packed to with help you with accuracy."
Care Tips
These brushes like to be washed in lukewarm water and they hate being soaked, for the best results wash the tip of the brush and leave to dry over your counter or sink edge so water doesn’t run inside the metal section.
