Caroline Barnes has been a leading name in the beauty industry for over 30 years, starting her journey from a deep fascination with make-up that began in her childhood. "I was obsessed with Vogue and the glamour of photoshoots," she recalls. But it wasn't just the allure of beauty that drove her—it was also personal. "I suffered from severe acne at fifteen, and make-up became my armour. It made me realise that beauty isn’t just for perfection; it’s for everyone."


Caroline’s professional make-up kit is a true treasure, built meticulously over years of experience. In her early days, she sourced brushes from art shops because they were affordable and ideal for precise work. Fast forward to 2024, and Caroline has finally crafted her dream make-up brush collection in partnership with Otis—a line that blends her decades of expertise with Otis's innovative design approach.

Otis Batterbee, a Central Saint Martins-trained designer, found his way into the beauty world by chance. After designing everything from handbags to ready-to-wear, he was captivated by the artistry of make-up application during photoshoots. This fascination sparked his desire to create a beauty line focused on high-performance, high-design tools that professionals would love.

Together, Caroline and Otis have developed the OBXCB 12-Piece Make-Up Brush Collection, a set that’s been meticulously crafted to help you elevate your bone structure and enhance your features effortlessly. The OBXCB collection also includes an innovative make-up brush case that is as functional as it is beautiful. "At one point, we wondered how long it would take," Otis jokes, reflecting on the development process.
